The fifth China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue was held in Beijing Diaoyutai Guesthouse on December 4th – 5th. Chinese Vice Premier WANG Qishan and US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson co-chaired the meeting as special representatives of state leaders of the two countries. The China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue, initiated by PRC President HU Jintao and US President George W. Bush in September 2006, is the most important high-level dialogue between China and the USA. The dialogue is held twice a year by turns in China and the USA.
