The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially opened on November 5th at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. This year’s event has reached an unprecedented scale, bringing together guests from 152 countries, regions, and international organizations. With nearly 100 conferences and forums scheduled, the Expo has attracted speakers from diverse fields, nearly half of whom are from abroad.
Since the inaugural CIIE, TAIDEN has been a reliable partner in providing conference services for the event. This year, TAIDEN once again plays a pivotal role, equipping 10 conference venues at the NECC with advanced simultaneous interpretation systems that support multiple languages, exceptional sound quality, and robust functionality. A total of over 3,900 interpretation devices have been provided, ensuring seamless multilingual communication for this international gathering.
Advanced Interpretation Technology for Efficient Multilingual Communication
TAIDEN’s simultaneous interpretation systems at the Expo consist of digital infrared transmitters, receivers, interpreter units, and radiators, offering powerful capabilities to support efficient, clear communication. The interpreter units provide up to 64 channels of simultaneous interpretation, while the receivers support 40 channels, ensuring that every attendee can access the language channel they need.
In the main venue of the 7th CIIE and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum’s opening ceremony on November 5th, TAIDEN provided 1,900 seats with its digital infrared receivers. Additionally, 2,000 interpretation receivers were distributed across various sub-forum venues.

Digital Infrared Receivers
TAIDEN’s digital infrared receivers, compliant with the IEC 61603-7 standard, offer an ultra-wide 270° reception angle, ensuring stable and clear audio reception from any location within the conference room. The LCD screen displays intuitive information, making it easy for users to select language channels and adjust volume settings.
Digital Infrared Radiators
TAIDEN’s HCS-5100T series digital infrared radiators, available in 25W and 35W options, provide coverage ranges of up to 50 meters and 97 meters, respectively. Supporting 40 channels of interpretation, these units feature 13 adjustable angles for precise signal coverage, ensuring a safe and clear communication environment for all participants.
Digital Interpreter Units
The HCS-8685 digital interpreter unit, used in interpreter booths, complies with the ISO 20109 standard. It supports up to 64 languages, including the floor channel, and features 7 preset input channels and 3 output channels. With an audio sampling frequency of 48kHz and a frequency response range of 30Hz to 20kHz, the unit ensures exceptional audio quality. Additional features such as hearing protection, password management, and customizable settings enhance both interpretation accuracy and user experience.
