During the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, all important conference venues were outfitted with equipment provided by SHENZHEN TAIDEN INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. The devices and operations were permanently supervised by the TAIDEN servicing team.
TAIDEN conference systems and simultaneous interpretation systems were in use in the Beijing Olympic Main Press Center (MPC), Olympic Village, National Stadium (“Bird's Nest”), National Indoor Stadium, National Aquatics Center (“Water Cube”) and Beijing Olympic Basketball Gymnasium, with live on-site speech, discussion, simultaneous interpretation and audio & video recording.
In the press conference hall in the National Stadium, with 400 m2 floor space, 384 simultaneous interpretation receiver sets of the HCS-5100 Digital IR Language Distribution System were in use. The podium was equipped with TAIDEN HCS-4331CB/DB Fully Digital Conference units, featuring speech and simultaneous interpretation facilities. Interpreters provided 6 languages (Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic) simultaneously through TAIDEN HCS-4385A Fully Digital Simultaneous Interpretation units.
The Main Press Centre (MPC) was the central work place for 5,600 accredited journalists and photographers covering the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and providing 24-hour services. In the press conference hall, 840 simultaneous interpretation receiver sets of TAIDEN HCS-826 IR Language Distribution System and TAIDEN HCS-4331CB/DB Fully Digital Conference units, featuring speech and simultaneous interpretation facilities, were in use. Eight TAIDEN interpreter booths, equipped with 16 TAIDEN HCS-4385A Fully Digital Simultaneous Interpretation units, provided 8 languages.
