It was the first time for the heads of 28 EU member states to convene after Malta took over EU presidency, during which issues on EU future were put out on the table.

To better assist such a high-profile conference, TAIDEN offered the latest international standard ISO 20109 approved and customer-centric interpreter units and top-notch Digital IR Language Distribution System and Fully Digital Congress System. All the equipment was rotated and successfully assisted all breakout sessions, and will be continuously used at EU meetings during the first half of the year.

TAIDEN has been widely recognized for its system reliability and stability and product performance as well. The Interpreter Unit HCS-8385/60 used at the Summit was greatly applauded by the interpreters just as expected. TAIDEN built the Interpreter Unit out of its robust R&D ability and rich experiences in the conferencing industry, fully absorbing requirements and suggestions from end users at the same time.

The unit panel and screen display are ergonomically optimized with finer control and more explicit channel display. Interpreters are allowed to have quick switch from up to 8 video sources by pressing just one button. Hearing protection facility is also provided by automatically recognizing headphones/headset impedance and adjusting the output accordingly. Moreover, chief interpreter is able to have fast and efficient communication with interpreters by sending text messages to targeted interpreter units at a time from his mobile phone via Bluetooth connection. For interpreters who are used to making their own settings on the unit, TAIDEN made it possible by allowing interpreters to save the setting with a PIN code so that they would be able to use the setting on any other unit in the system during later meeting sessions, which is so convenient and well thought out.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that TAIDENs HCS-8385/60 is the worlds first ISO 20109:2016 compliant interpreter unit, thanks to its persistent endeavors in coediting and compiling ISO standards related to conference systems.
