TAIDEN Digital Conference Systems Served the 17th Session of the African Union Summit

The African Union Summit is the highest authority of the AU which is normally held twice a year. Usually, at the beginning of the year, the Summit takes place in the AU headquarters - Addis Ababa; the mid-year Summit are hold alternately among the AU member states. The 17th session of the AU Summit opened on June 30th at Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea. Heads of states, government leaders and representatives from more than 50 member states of the African Union, and representatives from the United Nations and other international organizations attended the meeting. The delegations or observer missions from China, Britain, Slovenia and Japan, joined in the summit as well.

After rounds of inspection and comparison by the owner, designer and constructor, TAIDEN fully digital conference system and simultaneous interpretation system was finally elected to be installed in the main venue of the 17th AU Summit - the Sipopo Conference Center in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea (called AU Hall). This is the second time that Shenzhen Taiden Industrial Co., Ltd. provides products and services of high quality for the highest level meeting in Africa, after the second session of the AU in 2003. In order to guarantee a smooth and successful Summit, Taiden sent one senior technical engineer for an on-site supervision and conduct of the installation and ensured a perfect performance of the TAIDEN systems.

The Sipopo Conference Center is seized of six venues of different sizes, which are installed with: 8 sets of digital conference systems with a total of 381 seatings with fully digital conference units; 26 sets of 64 channel fully digital simultaneous interpretation units; 3 sets of digital infrared simultaneous interpretation systems with a total of 1785 pcs 8-CH digital infrared receivers, and several application software packages.

The perfect performance and excellent quality of the TAIDEN fully digital conference systems and simultaneous interpretation systems have been highly praised by the parties of the General Assembly. The next AU Summit will be held in the AU Headquarters (AU Convention Centre) which has been equipped with TAIDEN fully digital conference system and simultaneous interpretation system.
